Using Microsoft Outlook Express with Your Email November 3, 2011

BEFORE YOU START: To set up Outlook Express with your email, you need to know your POP3 Server Settings and ports. Normally, these settings were provided to you when you signed up on your mail provider.

The default settings we provide our mail clients would be the following:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com

You should replace yourdomain.com with your domain.

    Globe Subscribers: Cannot send email? February 20, 2009

    Hi again everyone,

    It’s been quite sometime when one of our clients and me we’re trying to figure out why he wasn’t able to send email, when all others are. Quite interestingly, he is having the same issue when he is on his office or at home.

    He even came to a point where  he purchased a new router, thinking that the router was the problem.

    While trying to resolve the issue, i remembered a problem that i’ve encountered with smartbro wireless few years ago. That is, the port 25 was explicitly blocked in their network, unless you use their own smtp server.

    Entourage: Cannot send email November 11, 2008

    “Cannot send email. SMTP server does not recognize any of the authentication methods supported by entourage. Try changing the SMTP authentication options in Account settings or contact your Network Administrator”

    I recently recieved complaints from entourage (mac users) with the above error message. In case you encountered the message. Try the following solution.

    1. Go to Tools -> Accounts

    2. double-click your account and click on the Advanced sending options button.

    3. Disable any options EXCEPT “SMTP server requires authentication” and “Use same settings as receiving mail server”.
